Knew Concepts Marquetry Saw Bench Pin
The large stainless steel bench pin that comes with our marquetry saws, now available by itself. 11.11 x 16.19cm, instead of the 7.62 x 12.70cm of our normal stainless bench pin, this is a larger pin for those who need more support, or want to work with larger items. It mounts to our dovetails, as well as GRS’s bench mate dovetails, so you can use it with either system.
It has a variety of cutting areas, to support piercing from large freeform work in the central clearance, to detailed cutting in the small coves to either side, as well as the long thin slot for maximum support. The 2.54cm gap in the central cove is also just right for holding a jeweller’s ring clamp. The four 1/4" holes are for adding a wooden cover plate to allow for specialized zero clearance applications. (More for the marquetry saw than hand cutting, but it’s a bit of added versatility for those in need.)
Made from solid 0.48cm stainless steel, it won’t bend or flex, and the shavings from stainless steel won't contaminate your sweeps the way aluminium will.
